The Nahanni Paddle & Cirque Hike trip is an exceptional opportunity to see much more of Nahanni National Park Reserve than most visitors experience. This unique trip combines two weeks of canoeing on the Tehjeh Deé (South Nahanni River), with an extra week to explore Glacier Lake and the Cirque of the Unclimbables.

Beginning at Island Lakes, we make our way down a gentle section of the Tehjeh Deé (South Nahanni River) to Glacier Lake, where we will embark on foot a multi-day, self-supported hike into the Cirque of the Unclimbables. Once we return to our canoes several days later, we will continue our paddling journey down the Tehjeh Deé (South Nahanni River), making stops at Gahnîhthah Mįe (Rabbitkettle Lake), Náįlįcho (Virginia Falls) and descending the four canyons.

This three week adventure is a good choice for those with some basic whitewater skills (expect to paddle class I and II whitewater), prior hiking experience, a good level of fitness, and time to explore some of the special out-of-the-way highlights of the Nahanni National Park.
