My passion for leading people in the outdoors started in earnest in my second year of university.  I had joined the Queen’s Outdoors Club and found a passionate community of outdoor people who took my previous passion of fishing and canoeing with my family as a kid and turned it into a full blown everything outdoors obsession. I quickly discovered the joy of introducing people to the joy and mystery of the outdoors. University summers were spent pursuing my passion as a raft guide, camp leader and whitewater instructor as I built toward the goal of guiding for an expedition outfit.
I joined Black Feather in the summer of 2015. I’ve been privileged to guided trips on the Petawawa, Nahanni, Coppermine, and done two Traverses of Auyuittuq National Park on Baffin Island.
I now work as a full time Industrial Arts teacher in BC where the pursuit of my passions are always close by and where I am lucky to have summers off which allow me to join you on a Black Feather trip.
